I used a 1st gen pickup/4runner brake booster on my supra to clear a 2jz ffim. It is a single diaphragm booster so its not as deep as the stock supra one. It helped with my clearance but I sure miss the nice and powerful factory dual diaphragm booster.
This is what I assume, It would make sense to be a super worn out bushing maybe on the traction arms. I guess I should go poly, considering a rear set is only around $50
Not sure how they could do an alignment with the wheels under a load of rolling down the interstate or something like that, so they did a good "static" alignment
No it pulled to the right before the alignment, but after I put new tires on I went to get the alignment to straighten it out. It drives straight when coasting but on the throttle not so much.
Tire pressures are on spec. I don't have the alignment sheet, they're printer was not working so I...
So the car is on jack stands, so I put the jack under the lateral arm of each wheel and jacked it up to the normal ride height. STill no wiggle in the sphericals, same as it was with the suspension fully sagged. So I guess its not those?
Hey guys, I just got my car aligned because it was pulling bad. The guys at the shop did a good job on the alignment and I watched them do the whole process. I had them put all the alignment specs to factory but with a little bit of negative camber in the rear. Im running eibach springs so not...
Recently replaced my spherical bushings in the rear spindle on my mk3 because the old ones were shot to shit. I could wiggle my rear wheels side to side no matter which way I grabbed it. Anyways I didn't want to replace the spherical with a solid bushing because of risk of fatiguing other...
I used to have the MS3 with the expansion board on my 7m and loved it. It is now on my 2jzge na-t. Ditch that multiplex stuff and run the 1zz coils. They look great as they are COP and produce a pretty mean spark. I haven't pushed them to the limit but some people have with good results. Easy to...
Okay fixed the problem and feel really stupid, anyways. Went to the junkyard and picked up a new pump and then went to install. Decided id break the pulley nut loose on the pump on my car while I had the assistance of the belt (Its powder coated so I wanted to keep that pulley) and I noticed the...
So today I finally was able to go take out the reservoir and I cleaned it out thoroughly, ran new fluid and flushed it by topping up the tank and letting the old fluid run out the return line into a container, however didn't help at all :( I guess ill go grab a junk yard pump and throw it on. It...
Thanks for all the replies,
The systems only been up and running for about two months now, just got the car back running so fluid should be clean (atleast for the most part, the high pressure and return lines are new so any old fluid would have been left over in the rack, but even that should...
Hey guys, so ive had an issue come up recently and it is the power steering pump on my 2JZ Mk3. The pump works fine just as it should but just recently it started making a buzzing/whining noise when there is no load on it, as in sitting there with no hands on the wheel. As soon as you turn and...
