Found out about the idle and vacuum leak sound. I was the hose that comes off of the intake manifold that goes to the power steering pump to regulate the idle on turns. The hose was taken off and capped during my turbo upgrade. I haven't driven it since I fixed the vacuum leak, but would that...
I was driving home tonight and noticed that my car was idling at 1,500RPM. Odd. Then while I was driving the BOV stopped working at low boost and barely worked at 10PSI. I finally got home and parked. When I got out I noticed that there sounded like a vacuum leak somewhere. Help me please. It's...
I just put some refrigerant into my a/c compressor. I drove my car around to make sure everything is going smoothly. On my way back home, my idle RPM climps to 1500 RPM. I get home and check under the hood and there's a vacuum line detached next to the compressor. I need to know where the other...
I was driving home for my lunch break today and a coolant leak became apparent. I don't know the exact location or if it's an easy fix which makes me kinda worried. It's on the back side of the engine below the 90 degree rubber hose on what looks like a metal cap of some kind. Any help would be...
OK. Thanks so much. I was going to hate myself if I found out later. Luckily I only have 300 miles on the rebuild, so I wouldn't think the damage has been done yet. Does anybody know what exactly the clutch break-in procedure is because I got a new one at the same time.
I will try to remember to get a picture tomorrow. If you want a good picture of the back, you can go to my myspace page www.myspace.com/adamtaylor. BTW, I took out the silencer in case I didn't mention that before (bad memory and laziness to check [I wonder what those are symptoms of....]).
That's with the aftermarket turbo running up to 4500-5000RPM. Yeah, I've got surge but it isn't too bad. My BOV is the HKS, however I'm wanting to go dual and maybe go with the Greddy that squeaks. That way I've got two sounds in one (unique).
Here are the videos I've taken with my digital camera. All of the videos were taken with the RSR GT2 (no silencer) and the windows down. Sorry beforehand about the low quality and not being able to really show off the exhaust.

Disassembly isn't that bad. It is a slip over design that uses springs to keep it together. The springs are strong, but not impossible to take off. BTW, the RSR is the loudest aftermarket exhaust for the MKIII. However it does give the most power gains of any system. I used to like the tone when...
What I was told is that the EPA will not let a front-clip be imported. The front-clips have to be dissasembled in Japan which labor is charged making the setup more expensive. Not to mention that you only get the engine, ecu, and tranny. It made the swap way too expensive due to having to buy...
TVR is actually the ONLY place I take my car, mastercheif. I've been a customer for like 3 years. Jamie said that the front-clip development happened within the past 2 weeks.
I have recently tried to get a 1JZ front clip but when my shop checked on it they said that the EPA changed the law on importing the front clips to where only the engine, ecu, and tranny can be shipped. Does anybody know where I could get a good 1JZ front clip?
I'm not worried about it. I'm going 1J in August or September. I've been planning the swap for several months now. It honestly could be any of the above. I do drive my car pretty hard.
Just got back from the shop. It's something that nobody expected. Bad rings. My car isn't even burning oil, but the compression test only got 75psi. Thanks to anybody who tried guessing.
