Actually all the smoke started after i raced a transam while i was only on 16 psi. No lean condition under boost or anything. After that night it started pulling in oil through the pcv and killed 2 of my afms. No im not trying to hide the smoke so i can sell it to someone im trying to hide the...
I put about a cap full of oil into the 6th cylinder and it went up to 30 from 10. I guess that falls into the bottom end
Is there anyway to hide the loads of smoke that come out of the breathers? I had the stock pcv pipe but it went through 2 of my afms due to so much oil getting sucked in...
Whats up guys.. finally got around to doing a compression test on my car since it recently started smoking like a freight train out of the breathers. (no smoke from exhaust) Only time it smokes from the exhaust is intermittent when I do a hard pull. Sometimes a large puff of smoke will come out...
So about 2 days ago, I raced this trans am. Drove home parked no problem. Next day I open the hood to check oil and my air filter was covered in it. This is the first time this happens ever since I bought the car. I believe it started to happen after I put back the stock PCV pipe. Before, I had...
Turns out when I did my injectors I had taken off the bolt on the IM that holds the two grounds cables. I used the wrong length bolt and it was tight already and since I had done it at night, I thought the cables were firm against the manifold. They had about 1/4 inch play and was causing all my...
So after moving around the harness near the injectors, I now have a code 31 (afm). Every time i move the harness up/down the car dies almost instantly sometimes it struggles to stay on. Im guessing a wire that has to do with afm is bad somewhere in there and is causing all my problems?
Edit...
I understand what you're saying, but if I unplug it while the car is running and turn the car off while it is unplugged, shouldn't it remain at the position it was at while the car was running and not fully open? There is nothing electrical telling it to open/close after I turn it off?
Also, if anyone has any idea:
When I unplug the IACV while the car is running nothing happens but the idle stays at the idle RPM it was at when I unplugged it. If I turn the car off and on after unplugging it, it will go crazy surging from like 2k to 3k rpm and sometimes it just completely dies...
Was messing around today trying little things here and there.
I grabbed the harness at the #6 injector and moved it up and down and the car would stutter and die/change idle.
What do you guys think? Should i try using a different harness?
At WOT its nice a rich 10.0. No i dont have an AFPR. I would rather run rich than running lean and ALWAYS running lean when taking off from 1st. It was doing this when it was on stock injectors/afm
