Sounds like the thrust washer in your transmission quit. As for the OP, I have seen this happen a few times. Not exactly sure what caused it, but now we tend to use new oil pump DS from the dealer. Thats what I plan to do to my motor.

Wastegate placement could be a little off. Manifold looks partially divided, and the wastegate mainly feeds off the rear 3 runners. Could cause boost creep at higher boost levels.

Recent auto to 5-speed swap? One of the shop cars was fine till we put in a 5-speed. And with a stock pressure plate they went bad in a hurry. Not 100% sure on the swap being the cause but the timing was right for it.

OK, a lot of times people will install an aftermarket radio and the gauge lights stop working. There is a white wire with a green stripe in the stock radio harness that needs to have power when the lights are on. Also, if the cigarette lighter does not have a good ground, the lights won't work...
