Well I'm short on cash and found a good ge alternator for a good price...I need the car back on the road asap. So 10 amps? Would that be a problem?

Oh here's the deal. My alternator just failed, It charges good but as soon as you put load it goes to discharge and light comes on and voltage drops below 12v. While it's no on load it's charging around 13.5 to 13.00... i found an alternator locally for cheap but it's a non turbo 7m alternator...

That's what i'm thinking because even on a 7qt oil pan, When you put 5qts you should see a bit of oil on the dipstick. But in my case you put 5qts and the dipstick says there's not even a drop. Well I'm not sure if it's the original dipstick or not. I got the car like that. But what I do know...

Well I didn't clean it with water. I cleaned it with a engine cleaner spray so everything is dry...Thanks for the heads-up I was freaking out for a second. New thing learned.
