hmm... either microsoft isn't doing shit to the console when you send it to them, or it's somehow your fault. do you keep the system well ventilated?

keep the console on a hard surface with all objects atleast 2 ft away from it. also make sure the fans aren't just blowing againt the wall (i actually have my 360 sitting sideways i.e. when i look at it, i see the side), and keep that overly big for nothing power supply off of the carpet. i have mine resting on two dumbells.

I have mine sitting on a wood shelf 3" off the ground, sitting on it's side (not standing up) with nothing on either side of it so the fans on both sides draw air through.

I've read articles about the red lights and Microsoft is usually good about sending you a box to ship the X-box (hehehe) back in for a refurb.

well the first time i sent it, they sent me a new one its a "replacement" which is totally different, and yes i do keep it well ventilated, ive done all the trouble shooting for it and i even called, i spoke to the supervisor and he told me they will "yellow tag" it, which basically lets them know "this is the second time its been sent in" so that means that they will take extra care when fixing this one.
