You can probably sell that WOW account + CD key or more than that..
Check EBay and online "Gold/Account Sellers" to see if they are selling accounts on your server for a price comparison. No kidding, Lv60 accounts go for $250+ dollars. A Lv50 with decent equipment and some gold can most likely garner $100+ easily depending on server, type of server [PVE/PVP], especially if your skills and equipment are decent.

I have a Lv44 Troll Hunter as my main on Laughing Skull [PVP]. My 1st Aid is at 300, Mining is 270+, blacksmithing is 285+, fishing is 160+ and climbing. I believe in doing all of my own work, but for someone else who plays the game on a friend's account / someone who wants to break free and knows how to play the game, that could be a great start.

P.S. - Everyone else, if I didn't already have an account and wasn't a Horde player, I would buy it. If you want to get into World of Warcraft but don't know how to play and do not have an account, this is a steal. If you want to play, I'd suggest buying and making a brand new couple of characters on that account so you can learn how to play, then switch over to that Lv50 and have fun! Also, depending on the skills, you could use that Lv50 to really "feed" the lower level characters with items to help them develop their skills.

I've got a LV59 Night Elf Rogue on Thunderlord. No way I'd sell him for that little.. I've got about 800 hours of gametime getting him up to that level.
