How do you remove the wrist pins from the stock pistons. Without damaging them.

just take a deep well socket and hammer and tap them out..

um.... no. Heat has to be used.

According to the TSRM, they have to be heated. Mine came right out, with a little tapping, no heating involved. No apparent damage was done either. But keep in mind, I was not reusing the pistons, or pins, so keeping them in perfect condition wasn't a necessity when I decided to do it the easy way.

and according to tsrm if the pin can be installed with out heat you need to replace the piston.

its really not necessary! they arent in there that tight....i used a small press at work after i poured oil over the pins....worked great and didnt mark up the piston.
