wire gauge for CPS?

I tried searching google and the forums but couldn't find an answer. Anyone know what gauge the wires to the CPS are? I want to say 18 or 16 but I'm not sure and I'm looking to pick up SXL wires to rewire mine.

They're metric and not awg but 18 will be fine...

If you're gonna rewire the CPS, it wouldn't hurt to buy a new CPS plug from Driftmotion. It's a common plug to go bad after 20-something years of heat under the hood. I had starting issue and that turned out to be the root cause; apparently the old plug wasn't making a consistent connection to the wiring harness. Anyhoo, justs thought I'd offer my two cents

My two cents are to rewire it with a weatherpack connector. No use in using an old crispy harness side connector either!

Whatever you choose, make sure it is shielded.
