Hey guys where would white smoke and coolant come from behind the alternator around the first 2 intake cylinders. I cant see from the top and when i put a mirror below i cant tell as everything is blocking my view. My car overheated all the way tonight and thats where alot of white smoke is coming from and a bit of coolant. The only place i could think of that it could come from is the HG around there, would a cracked intake or blown intake manifold gasket cause overheating and leaking coolant?
Thanks,

You have coolant lines from the bottom of the #2 intake runner (attaches to head) to the ISCV, to the TB, to the return line that goes around the block.

Bet ya sprung a leak ;)

Edit: JJ beat me ;)

Thanks for quick replies. I forgot to mention that theres a bubbling/boiling water kind of noise that comes from the area liek every 15 seconds and theres a little puddle of coolant on the top of one of the valleys where the intake connects to the head.

if either of you guys are right, you can bet that your names will be in my motto as my heroes.

Yep thats what it is. I accidently left mine off after the BHG and had a major coolant leak. Got the hose back on and everything was fine...

^LMAO, my buddy did that too. Kind of hard for me to believe but theres proof its not just him doing things with his eyes closed.

On a side note, I had this hose blow on my way to the 2006 F1 USGP (basically 350 miles from home and the hotel). Man did that make for an interesting week.

thank you all for the help, it was infact the hose. Changed it, burped it and drove out driveway...car overheated. Came back in driveway and the hose going from my rad. to overflow tank got cut up by the small fan haha. Changed it and now cars is running good again, Thanks again guys, and that hose was some crappy braided material as well...
