Which motor mounts?

I've heard the newer "round" style is better, but some people have mentioned going for the mkIV round style and cutting off a small stub to make them work. Though, I heard this for 89+ cars, I am not sure if it would work on 88- because we use the square.

Square mounts are stiffer if that's what you're looking for, but they're harder to get a hold of. The newer style ones are now made in solid aluminum pieces if that's your cup of tea ;).

you cannot interchange the mounts. the crossmember is different on the 87-88 and 89+

there may be some way to modify to make it fit, but the early square ones are a little more beefy and less prone to tearing anyway.

you can use the 98tt motor mounts for 89-92 supras...they are called insulators when u order them ....jay marks has them for like $50 a peace they work great i have them on my 89.....pre 89s have different cross members and motor mounts like he^^^^^said....:aigo:
