Which clutch should I get? eBay?

I'm looking into an ebay clutch for my 88T and was wondering if any of them are any good? I really don't need anything too beefy, but can it hurt if I go with like a stage 3 or something? I really don't see myself making upwards of 400hp anytime soon, or for that matter even 350hp :)... no wait... :(

These are the clutches I'm looking at on eBay:

Are any of these brands good? Have any of you bought a clutch from any of these companies? I guess I'm just looking for guidance here... :1zhelp:

I'm also looking at these 11 lb Flywheels that are included in some kits on eBay. Would that be a good idea? Is it really necessary?

I'm also probably going to get a SS Clutch Line and Replace my Speedo Cable while I'm down there. Oh... and is there any place I can get a new speedo cable for cheap... or am I going to have to find a donor?

Is there anything that won't be included in one of these clutch kits that I need to get as well?

OK... I guess that's it. Sorry about all the silly questions that I'm sure ya'll are getting sick of... but I'm sorta a n00b. Who am I kidding... I'll be a n00b forever!!! I love this supra community...

Pucked clutches are not fun.

Personally, I bought an off brand clutch once. Never again.

Exeddy is top quality. ACT is very good.

Get a full face disk and an upgraded pressure plate. Don't go overboard, but a little bit stiffer clutch pedal and the extra grab from a "stage 2" or what ever is one up from stock will be really nice.

Buy a clutch rated for the torque you plan to make, horsepower doesn't matter

so i guess that I can go wrong with the wrong clutch.

That XTD looks pretty good...

what is so bad about a pucked disc?

I don't know anything about the XTD. But when I see painted parts like that I just can't trust them. But like I said, I don't actually know anything about it.

A pucked disk is really grabby. Great if you are driving fast, but parking lots, traffic, going on a date, sucks......the chick will think you are a crappy driver. That was my experince anyway, but the car I had a pucked disk on also had a light weight flywheel and big cams that where not happy below 3500rpm anyway. A big 7M with its heavy flywheel won't be nearly as bad.

The XTD does not last very long under stress it cant handle and upgraded CT very long I wasted to much time on this crappy clutch buy a good one so you dont have to do it twice or three times like myself!

ummm i have the Spec Stg 3 its a 6 puckk and its easy just learn how to drive it!!!

plus its a damn good clutch went thru more than 20 launches and races in my buddy's car and i've ran it more than 15 times atleast plus race on the street all the time, 400rwtq i'd say i have and handles it all all the time. 4500 rpm launches slipping it the whole launch.

think about it bro

I think i might just go for the 6 puck so that it forces me to get smoother with my clutch.

If I'm running 270 horse right now it is still going to be OK for me to go with the 6 puck, Correct?

Is their a good site for relatively inexpensive clutches other than eBay?

dude stay away from proclutch the one you pointed out i have and they said it was for a turbo and is not it is for an N/A supra and then you need longer bolts ontop of it all. i am still dealing with proclutch to get it replaced and get the right one and i got mine from ebay also!!

yea I was looking at those RPS clutches... is it smooth?

The six puck has a little grab to it, but the steet disk is smooth as stock. Also there is about a 100% increase in your left foot pressure with the 3200 max pressure plate.
