Where is my rear hatch leaking from?

Well to sum things up my rear hatch still leaks water. i recently replaced all the spoiler gaskets and also took out the brake light on my spoiler to replace the gasket in there and also used the silicone to seal up the inside on the brake light. it rained yesterday and i go to open my hatch up and water comes dripping out from the right side of the plastic cover that is attached to the hatch. where else can water get inside the hatch from?

Tailights.

My taillights were leaking and my tool well in the rear fender was full.

Go buy some taillight seals

OK... just a quick question but HOW does rain get in through the taillights and go UP into the plastic that is attached to the hatch?

You are either leaking wather in through the wiper or (most likely) through the seals around the glass in the hatch.

It's NOT the tail lights. It may be the seal which sits between the glass and the hatch frame.

Try checking the rear wiper seal. Mine was old and cracked and was leaking water inside so I decided to just shave it off.

Since he's gonna be there he might as well do all possible spots.

Places it could leak from to get into the upper hatch plastic:

lower hatch seal, the mounting holes for the lower hatch trim, rear wiper seal, spoiler seals

Clear RTV sealant is what I used to fix up some of these spots.

thanks for all the suggestions. i forgot to add that i did use the RTV sealent on the black moldings that are located on the very bottom of the hatch window. i havnt changed the rear wiper seal but that is what i will do tommorrow when it gets here since i ordered it today:icon_bigg
