When was the last time you blew a head gasket and was it metal? What do you think is better the regular gaskets or metal? Just wanna get an idea of how often this realy happens, also put how many you've blown. BTW I've blown 1 on my motor and waiting for the next but hopefully not.:naughty:

Whats better is proper preparation and installation. Until you noobs realize this you will continue to blow mhg's, and will continue to blame the 7M.

period.

Umm... blew the stock HG at 140k some miles... first ever on the car from the factory.

Pulled the head, cleaned it up.. checked the head for warpage... shaved a thousandths off or so, put a toyota hg back down.

New toyota head bolts... 72ft/lbs.

It's been like 5 years, and 3 of which at 15-20psi of boost from a CT26 and CT26 (60-trim).

2 clutches. 1 master.
