I just purchased some old school volk racing rims. They are 17x8 in the front and 17x9 in the rear with +35 offset all around. I've been searching for awhile on what size spacers to use. I read that the best offset for 9" or wider would be somewhere in the 40's, what size spacers would I need to purchase? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you're trying to make a +35 a +40 with spacers it's not going to happen. A lower offset number pushes the wheel further toward the fender (which is what spacers would do.

I think a +35 in the rear with 9's is about right. +35 in the front on 8's will be fine too, but will probably look sunk in a bit (spacer could help here).

Here is a good offset calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
