I've got some 17x9 +15 wheels with 275/40s on them sitting around. I only have a pair of them and have test fitted them on the back. They seem to fit but looks like they'll rub if I hit any big bumps. I was just curious if anyone has made this size fit with a different tire size or just with a bunch of camber. Any help is appreciated.

275 seems a lil big for a 9 inch rim. try 265 and that should help with rubbing.
another note, as the suspention drops like a bump or coil overs the rim naturally picks up camber. get a bunch of people to sit in your car and watch your tire to see if it'll rub
