wheel fitment question

17x9 with 6"backspacing

275/40/17 all the way around will they fit on the mkiii?

Im not sure if the 6"backspacing will work anyone ? Any info would be great really want these rims just want to make sure they will work. Thanks

There is a wheel fitment thread that is stickied. Though there is very little mention of backspacing.
From some of the common wheel width/offsets, it would appear that the rear has about ~7" of backspacing. So those rims should be fine in the back.
Can't comment on the front, though I'm pretty sure 275s will not fit at all.
