What to do in New York?

I'm flying over to New York for the first time,and I wanted to know besides the typical touristy stuff,where or what would people suggest to do while I'm up there.

I found the UN really really interesting.

Other than that, i did LOTS of shopping (lol!) and walked EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

Ground Zero was incredibly moving... I was there on the anniversary of 911.

The U.S.S. Intrepid Museum is badass if you have any interest in aircraft carriers or aviation at all. Check out the statue of liberty, maybe hit a few comedy shows if you can find one.
