Same deal w/ me. And since I'll always need parts for my "other" 82 Supras... :naughty: ... It's pretty much the cheapest way to buy things. Hell, 3 lifetime clutch kits? Never again will I need to buy a kit. No alts, no starters. I'm set. lol

I would MUCH rather have no powersteering at 100mph than full power steering. PS at high speeds is waaaay too twitchy.

i thought that it acted like the newer bmw systems where it toned down the sensitivity. oh well, thanks for the correction

All PPS does is reduce the amount of power assist at higher speeds.

If all else fails, go to Toyota! You can get a remanned rack from Toyota for like $190 after core ($150 core). That's from a dealer like Jay Marks, etc, which give a discount, if you go to a dealer without a discount, a remanned rack is $253.40 + core.

44250-14110-84 = Remanned non-PPS rack.



(PS: PPS was standard on 89+ Turbos, and part of the Sport Package on 89+ N/A's).
