mine came from autozone too, i don't remember paying more then $200-250ish for mine, i'd say they ordered you the wrong one that costs more. the main reason i got it from there was for the lifetime warranty. mine fit with no problems.

little do they know, i will actually own it for a lifetime. well worth it in my opinion. got my mr2 100amp alternator from them too, lifetime warranty.

lol
Same deal w/ me. And since I'll always need parts for my "other" 82 Supras... :naughty: ... It's pretty much the cheapest way to buy things. Hell, 3 lifetime clutch kits? Never again will I need to buy a kit. No alts, no starters. I'm set. lol

Not for less deadly, nor less fun.
Have you ever driven a car with PPS? It has incredible road feel at 60mph+
I would MUCH rather have no powersteering at 100mph than full power steering. PS at high speeds is waaaay too twitchy.

i thought that it acted like the newer bmw systems where it toned down the sensitivity. oh well, thanks for the correction

All PPS does is reduce the amount of power assist at higher speeds.

If all else fails, go to Toyota! You can get a remanned rack from Toyota for like $190 after core ($150 core). That's from a dealer like Jay Marks, etc, which give a discount, if you go to a dealer without a discount, a remanned rack is $253.40 + core.

44250-14110-84 = Remanned non-PPS rack.

(PS: PPS was standard on 89+ Turbos, and part of the Sport Package on 89+ N/A's).
