Hey everyone I have a simple question what size mhg should I go with my hg has not blown so there really shouldn't be any warpage I was thinking the titan 1.4mhg or the hks 1.2mhg both with arp studs I know you can't really tell while the head is still on but just curious so I can go ahead and buy it and give it to my machinist so I won't have to wait very long just because it's my dd so thanks alot for any replies

You wont know how thick a gasket you need until the machine is finished milling the head & block. If you dont have BHG at this time , I would suggest checking the torque on the head bolts and driving it until you have problems.

Or do some preventative maintenace first and replace it like he's wanting to do ;).

Again like ^ he said, you can't order one unless you know how much material is going to be taken off of the head and the block, then you can go from there. Make sure you reach the specified RA spec for whatever brand you go with. An RA of 15 is safe for any MHG out there. The smoother the surface finish, the better when using a MHG.

Well I just don't have alot of time to do this but I do wan't to do it right so I guess I was just wondering if there is a mhg that isn't to thick or to thin so I could be safe either way for example if i got a 1.4mhg but I didn't need that much material taken off I could go ahead and machine it down to fit it or does it not work that way thanks for your replies
