Here's the torque spec for the bolts...note the value (circled in red) for use on aluminum heads (like the 7M). Chase the bolt holes prior to installing the HG & ARP bolts. Since you're using a stock HG, do a re-torque after 2-3 heat cycles.

Consider using a spray sealer like Brake Quiet on the stock HG...a lot of guys have had good success, but the TRSM does not recommend use of a sealer either way. BTW, this is the only case where I'll say a sealer is ok...for a new MHG, you don't want to use a sealer.

Don't forget to use RTV on the front plate where it meets the head per the TRSM; otherwise you will induce an oil leak.

Hey i got head in and went to put in my arp head bolts....nope. The side of the bolts would rub against the wall before i could get a chance to use a socket. Its as if the head of the bolt is too wide, anyone else have problems with this? if so how did you get around? As of now i just reused my stock head studs.

I use ARP Stud and the nut used to hold down the head fit almost just right for the hole. The 14 socket I use just make it in but it would be wise to lube with oil for easier drop in and removing it once u torque it. I almost panicked when I first drop it in as I had some difficulty putting in the socket 14 then I just lube it with oil and line it up straight and it drop in with some twisting around to lube it.
