What is required to start the car?

I recently picked up a 7mgte swapped 1987 supra for a reasonable, the problem is the car has been modified...poorly. The wiring on the car is a complete hackjob and i have spent the last week fixing all of the mistakes the previous owner had done. Some of it was actually pretty funny.

Anyways, i need to know what needs to hooked up to just get the car to turn over. Battery, starter, fusebox. Is there anything else under the hood i should be giving power? I think the starter wiring may be faulty as well so i need to re-do that as well. Anyone have any pointers for me :1zhelp:

check the starter to see if the wires are connected to it

Im going to go ahead and throw a new starter and redo the wiring, but this wiring job is killing me. Now when the windows wont roll up/down and when i press the button the in cab lights all dim down and lose power. Battery and fuses have been replaced.
