I know I am missing the little cover that goes over the block that covers the front of the flywheel. Are there "stiffener" brackets up there too?!? I can't tell...I don't know if I have this laying around somewhere...does anybody have some lying around? Thanks in advance.

your flywheel is exposed? the upper oil pan should cover most of the bottom half, or are we talkin bout different areas? you have any pics?
There is a little rectangular "window" at the bottom edge of my block/transmission on the front side where there is apparently a plate or cover missing. Almost like the "windows" on the side of the transmission to allow access to the clutch cover/clutch fork. I also want to know if there is anything else up there that I am missing.

he is talking about the rubber inspection cover. you usually need this to install/uninstall the driveplate on automatic JZ engines. It installs on the lower portion of the upper pan to the rear allowing access to the driveplate or flywheel as i have described. my front sump and rear sump pans came with one i can prolly take a picture in a bit here....

The 7m's is sitting on my 2jz automatic right there its bigger than your average jz one.
not sure the part# you need... there is no stiffner plates for the jz's. the part that bolts to the bellhousing was designed to be thicker.... i did a comparison actually in my build thread between the m and jz.

tlo86: The prices and part numbers you gave me were for the two metal inspection covers right? Not the rubber one.
