so i have decide to paint the supra and i can't decide what shade of white stock its the pearl white but when i bought it, it came with a brown fender ,head light and trim peice so my options are paint the panels to match my 20 yearold not so good paint, repaint the whole car back stock or paint the car just a base white and paint the trim and all to make it look like a white package. i wll most likely paint the car myself (11th-12th car i have painted no worrys) or i might just be lazy and mask the car up and take it to macco at this pont i'm really open to sugestions lol

Macco is cool getting body work fixed that you don't want to do yourself and you don't want to get charged far out the a$$ at a regular body shop. I had my mustang painted there and they did the body work for pretty cheap and did it right. They sprayed it the color I wanted and I think I spent something like 1400 there. Then you can spray it yourself again since they're paint isn't really durable plus the body work is done. Or con them into just doing the body work and prep and then buying the paint and do it yourself.

Which is ghetto, but it works. ;)

As far as a pearl white, after looking at Toyotareference.com, I personally like these two colors:

Diamond white pearl (051)

Frosted white pearl (064)

051 was actually an available color for the MK3.

Edit: I'm a sucker for pearl. :)

Oh, and if you do decide to go with Maaco, I hear they aren't too bad if you do the prep work yourself. So I would sand everything down, prime it and such, and mask off everything you don't want painted, then take it to them. From what I hear the painting part itself is actually pretty good, it's just the previous stuff that they aren't so good at.

i like the idea of getting the body work done by them and then prepping and painting it yourself tht way you can tape it off anyway that you want and you can be happy with it.

i hate having people screw up the idea that I have in my head for a project, so I say its best jut to do it yourself : )
