What cleaner can I use on head cams?

So I pulled my head today and want since my cams and everything is so messy I can not inspect for cracks and just to clean it out. The head is on a work stand table right now and I was wondering if I can use throttle body cleaner to wash out the head of all the gulk and dirty or what ever else that might be in it? I was thinking about using that then pour fresh oil over it to re-lube the cams.

I just use degreaser and elbow grease.

i usually use simple green degreaser or purple power. both work very well

i always use a can of WD40 to rinse the whole head off nice, then i blow dry it off and go from there.
