TEMS is Toyota Electronically Modulated Suspension (pretty sure this is the right name). It's kind of like all of the new suspensions now like Tein with EDFC (electronic damping force controller) and things like that. Basically, you can make your suspension soft or hard using the TEMS conrtoller.

Sorta, but its not hard or soft, its there to adjust for body roll when hitting corners more than anything. from sport to normal and just driving, your not going to feel a difference, but when going from normal to sport, and cornering in sport rather than normal, the car will adjust to fix the body roll alot.
I still like my TEIN SS's tho.

No offence blk, the first post of mine was more of a joke.

Hard suspension = less roll
Soft suspension = more roll

It would seem sport is more like a hard suspension setup and normal like a soft suspension setup.

Jetjock - you da man !!

Thanks for posting up that info ... I'll be referring back to this one when I begin to finish my next build. Between the AEM & the elimination (basically) of the gauge pod - I've been wondering how I'm gonna get the TEMS wired back in. (No $$ for EDFC in the near future, damnit.)

Another credit to the SM crowd ... a potential flame-fest was avoided and good info was posted ... damn I luv this place !!

The suspension also firms up when you tap the brakes while going above 40mph. I used to do that when I had TEMS lights on my dash just for fun.

Sounds like something i might try.... just for fun of watching the TEMS lights...:icon_bigg

I used that to check how far off my speedometer was. The needle was placed on there wrong but it functioned normally. I used the antidive thing of the tems to test out the differences. Worked good too.
