while pressing the gear's back on we ran into problems.

so you now have a new main shaft, third gear, and clutch hub 1, ( the hub is what the shift fork use's to change between gears,

first partner pressed on the wrong spot puttin 3rd gear back onto chipped 3 teeth,

so we tear open the school's r154 to replace parts, now we have 3 r's in peices, my main shaft is complete and back together with new syncro's,

after we succesfully got the spare tranny apart, we went to put the fourth gear on, and i pressed from the wrong spot, breaking the main shaft. what an ass i am,

so now we have the shaft out of the other tranny, and putting it all together when my third team member preses the clutch hub and didn't drop it into the splines' first..

we also changed out the second gear thurst with a washer that looks almost brand new.

all in all, were fuckin up, but learning and your benifiting from the process!!

i just figured i'd make this post before i went home, what an exciting day..

the one in their looked like shit, one side had discoloring looked almost burned..

it's on the other shaft already or i would take pic's.

i'll bring a camera tomorrow to get whats left of what im doig on film.

every thing else looks great though, the kit had all the bearings except the neddle roller bearings found under a couple of the gear's on the main shaft, all is fine though those bearings should last a life time..

i cleaned the rust off your input shaft (the one the clutch goes on, ) so that it slides into the piliot bearing easier,

reverse looks a little chewed , but thats dew to it not being a syncro gear, and it's strait cut teeth

thanks for cleaning the rust. you wouldnt believe how long it too to get the clutch out of that thing with all the rust from sitting around.

for the life of the tranny i hope so long as you dont do reverse burn out's,

it's wearing where the teeth engage, i'll take some picture's to show you, one from each tranny kinda give you a better idea of the wear,

although, i think im gona salvage some parts out of the third tranny and make 2 better ones lol,
