Usually when i start my car In the morning the idle shoots up to about 1500rpms and the the volts are at 14.0- 14.3 then the idle goes down about 30 seconds to a minute after to about 1000rpms and the voltage is at 14 give or take 0.1 volts..When i drive and it gets to operating temps the voltage goes down to about 13.2- 13.6.. this is the usual... Today it stayed at about 13.8- 14.0 and the car drove much different. Everything felt much better..the Throttle response, the idle was much smoother at a steady 850rpms etc. What i want to know is is this the sign of a bad connection or signs that i need a new alternator? Id like for my car to always run that smooth...
