this is a weird problem, hopefully you guys can help me.
acouple days ago the 90 degree coolant hose behind the thermostat blew out and i lost all my coolant, but i was a min away from home so i drove it home, it wasnt overheating or anything. the next day i changed out that hose refilled the coolant, left the cap off and started the car.. coolant in the rad was slowly rising. so i shut off the car, put the cap on, started again reved it to try to circulate the coolant. shut off the car. and took the rad cap off. no problems.. left the cap off again and went to start it. but this time it shot coolant out. so i topped off the coolant. put the cap backon and drove aorudn on it. drove around for about 45 mins, no problems at all. next day, started the car fine, drove to work fine (40 min drive). then after work it wouldnt start. it would crank and almost want to start but then i can hear it a misfiring noise commin from the intake and see my boost gauge jump. there is also smoke commin out of the exhaust that smells like burning plastic or soemthin when i crank. there is a bit of pressure in the cooling system after cranking. i'm thinkin its the bhg, but would it just all of a sudden give out liek that without overheating?
