water temp hookup

is there a way i can hook an aftermarket water temp gauge up using a new sending unit and still tap the stock gauge into it?

you keep the stock gauge hooked up to the stock sender, and there is either a plug on the tstat cover that you could take out and drill and tap to whatever size you need, or there will be an empty undrilled boss there or on the waterneck that you can drill and tap for your new sender.
