I was putting my front cover back on after replacing the seals, moving along really well and its almost together until Screeeeech!, damn I forgot to put the gasket on the water pipe that connects to the front cover:3d_frown:...

Has anyone had any luck getting the pipe loose enough to replace the gasket between the pipe and front cover without removing the exhaust, turbo etc or the front covers all over again?

I see theres a bolt in the rear that I can access but I dont remember where else the pipe is held on, I did not spend much time looking as I had to walk away in disgust. thought I was going to have the beast running again this evening....

If both bolts are on, then the exhaust manifold has to come off to access the bolt closest to the front of the engine. Or sit there for an hour with a box end wrench and have at it.
The rear bolt isnt obstructed by the manifold, atleast not when out of the car, so in not sure if a shock tower might block it or something.
