Hey guys on my supra, when start cold in the morning. I can hear water flowing in the center section. Is this normal or is there a way I can fix this problem? I mean I've change the heater core before..let me know, thanks
Burp the coolant system. Get the nose of the supra up in the air, either on ramps, or parked on a steep gradient, and make sure there's no air in the system.
I agree with JJ on this one (he hasn't chimed in yet but I expect he might with everyone saying 'raise the nose'). You do not need to raise the nose to get the air out. If the system is properly closed (ie no leaking hoses) it will 'burp' itself after a couple of warmup/cooldown cycles.
As for the waterfall sound. If you aren't noticing dampness on your floor mats then it's likely a leak elsewhere in the system. Could be any place coolant goes. I've had the water pump gasket and more recently the 90* hose (back of the head on the exhaust side, not half as bad as everyone makes the job out to be). Once the system was sealed back up it stopped making the noise.
