Wastegate?

Alright, I thought i had a boost leak i changed pretty much all my intercooler piping, and tried changing the blow off valve, and still nothing, im looking for what might cause me to only boost 3 psi when i normally boost 14, how can i check to see if my wastegate is malfuntioning?

You'll need to take off the eblow so you can see the wastegate flapper door.

Hook up a 10-20psi compressed air source with rubber hose to the wastegate nipple.

Presurize (sp?) the wastegate, and see if the flapper door moves.

i havnt got an opurtinity to do that yet, but if i cant move it with my hand is that a bad sign

If you were boosting till 14psi, your WG spring should be very hard. I don't think it can be "moved" easily by the hand.

Also check exhaust (turbine) housing for cracks and shaft freeplay. My first Ct-26 died with huge shaftplay and cracked housing... It couldn't produce any boost too...
