Wanted: Sound clips of a 7M-GTE running WELL

I've been scouring youtube and forums to try and find some to compare it to my engine. I haven't found a really good quality clip yet though. Would be nice to hear the idle and rev's up to ~3000rpm if someone's gonna actually go out and make one. I've got some ticks even after doing shims in the valve train. Been talking with a bunch of people and the best we can come up with is that the valves are still out. Don't see how that can happen though immediately after re shimming.

If I find a way to record my own engine, I'll post it up for input, but I can't think of any way to get a good clip from it.

i have a exhaust leak now but when i got my downpipe fixed befor with just a weld i didn't even notice i started my car i turned the key and was like is my car running? and looked at the rpms or something (i didn't try to turn the key again lol)

Yeah....with a 3 1/2" exhaust and DDP, you can tell the engine's on It's definitly clickity coming from more the rear of the valve train than the front (listened in with a scope), but it just kind of baffles me it would still sound like that after shim adjustments.

My engine sounds like a quiet sewing machine, I heard its fairly normal.

Mine sounds a bit tickier than that...but not terribly...most of the time. It's odd...some days it's a lot worse than others. I JUST got the shims all measured and adjusted where necessary too.

ahh that's a might fine tractor engine you have there jebus!

Mines on a fresh build and sounds the same way... just checked the clearances less than 5k km ago and they are all within spec..
