For the most part, yes, once you start getting into larger parts, like fenders, you start getting into diminishing gains because of shipping costs.
Also, Champion isn't the only place in the USA that sells parts for the prices they do, so you may be able to find someone closer, such as Elmhurst, etc.
For those on the left side coast, consider Mark at McCords. He will find it if its to be found. He recently rebuilt an M engine in a 68 Crown with Toyota parts. Typically 25% of list if you use the code FORUMNUTS or talk to him directly. He owns a Supra.
