I am mounting my W58 on to a 7mgte
My GTE block has no pilot bearing in it.

What is the best way to get the bearing out of my 7MGE?

Also I need one of those clutch aligning tools.. Any advice on centering the plate?

Use a new bearing. Reusing is a bad move.

clutch alignment tool comes with any new clutch or can be rented/bought cheap.

No advise really needed on centering the clutch disc. Put the tool in, put the clutch disc on over the tool, install the pressure plate.

I haven't been following your other threads so you may have addressed this. A stock GE clutch won't last long at all on a GTE. Are you using an aftermarket clutch? I hope so.

which tool are you referring to, is it available by order?
also where can I find one of those pilot bearings?

Right now my w58 +clutch/flywheel is bolted to the gte without a pilot bearing. temporary.
I dont know if its aftermarket, its whatever was in my supra, which was supposedly turbo but had a w58 in it
When I do my final build I will be replacing the clutch.

I'm moving out of my house in a week so I just need to swap the engine in dry and bolt it up so I can get it transported to my new place. (not going to put in the prop shaft yet)

I'll take it apart again afterwards.. not ideal, I know. But I might as well give it a shot. I still need a bunch of new parts.
Here's a picture of what I'm dropping in.

If your not starting the engine you don't need to put a pilot bearing in.

Best place to get one is toyota. Iirc there under 10$.

And you can rent a removal tool at autzone.

Never good to reuse one and usually the break on the way out.

now i have a question about engine install.
Im having trouble lining up the 2 motor mount brackets with the mounts on the mkiii

is there a trick to placing the engine on both mount studs?
one side at a time or should i remove one of the brackets? its proving to be very difficult
