I am having an cold start and idling problem and thats the only thing i know thats could be the problem. once it warms up it idles fine, but when its cold i wont stay running.
If that's the only thing you know that could be the problem you're in for some frustration. Fwiw the VSV for the EGR can't be the cause because it's ported vacuum. That said at least do as Jdub suggested and block the line. Might as well cap it off at the throttle body.
Loss of rest pressure typically effects only hot starts. You could always measure it. If not try jumping the fuel pump on at the diag block prior to starting. If things get better investigate some more.
I went and looked and my egr vsv is plugged off. my fuel pressure up vsv is the one thats stripped and unplugged. has anybody seen what this will do if unplugged? i will fix this anyways but hopefully this the problem.
