I was testing my mbc to set my boost at 20 psi but i screw too much and it went 26psi, fuel cut kicked in and after that the car keep stalling. It wont hold idle, throw code 31 and the hz is not reading on the afc. This was just second gear pull to set boost level. any help. bad map sensor? i have hks vpc.

Well, you maybe have other problems, since VPCs elliminate fuel cut.........
If I was you, I would pull a compression check.
And somewhere around here I have the VPC pressure sensor test proceedure.
If I can find them, I'll post them up.

By the way, manual boost controlers suck........
Even the ones made by GReddy, and HKS had problems with boost spikes.
The cheapo ones are pure trash.
But I guess you found that out.

Before this happen, it was tune set at 15psi and it ran find and 3rd gear pull went thru to 6000rpm. I tried to set the mbc to 20psi but screw too much and went 26psi.

There has been some talk about being able to use a GM MAP sensor, but I have not seen a working example myself.

Test for the HKS sensor is as follows:
With ignition switch on,
Green Wire is Ground,
Yellow wire should show 5 volts (feed to the sensor)
Blue wire (with hose disconnected) should show 1.74 volts.

Pressure/vacuum test:
Vacuum-
at -14.5 in/hg voltage should be .927
at -8.7 " " 1.254
at -2.9 " " 1.581
Pressure-
at .1 kg/cm " 1.91
at .4 " " 2.4
at .7 " " 2.89
at 1.0 " " 3.38
at 1.5 " " 4.19

If it's bad, check with people who import stuff, as they usually have incomplete sets sitting around.

Ok today i got my gm 3 bar map sensor installed it and still doing the same thing. Afc not reading hz, i did put the stock afm back on and it ran fine.
Correct me if im wrong on the wiring

gm 3bar map sensor= A=ground B=signal C=5volt

hks vpc= green=ground blue=signal yellow=5volt
