vpc chip help

I got 2 chip for the vpc but i dont know which chip is the 440cc and 550cc. need help identifying.

On one it said........Toshiba tc57256ad-15 Japan 93036eai vvp 12.5v

on the other one it said....singapore..0023k...58813..-12f1...m27c256b

Those are just the E-Prom numbers, and mean nothing.
There should be a sticker on each one with what it was programed to be.

Without the stickers on them,
it's impossible to know which one was burned for 440, and wich was burned for 550.

Trial & error.........
But only if you have gauges, and are starting off with 550cc injectors.
If the car drowns on fuel at idle, you have a 440 rom installed.
(to much injector 'on' time)

If you start off with 440s, and end up putting the 550 rom in, then it will be WAY lean, and you could damage things by getting on the throttle.
But most likely it wouldn't idle for sheite anyway, as it will be way too lean.

Just be careful, and you will figure it out.

Or just buy the rom you need.

I have the 550cc chip in my VPC. I took a picture of it, but the info on the sticker seems almost useless. But you can be the judge...

as per the MVP HKS replacement parts list HK21200-SUPO11N is the stock 440 chip

the 550 chip is HK21200-SUPO09B

So "ASSUMING" that is what you got then your other chip should be the 550 chip.
