I'm not sure if it's the car or the ECU though....

If nothing changes with spending the extra three grand, a massive partout would immediatly follow...

.19 gap seems kind of small but im sure you tried it with a .30 or a .25 gap as well.

Also, did you try running different versions of firmware?

Before I went and ditched the AEM, I would purchase a COP ignition setup from a VVTI 2jz. It is still a wasted spark setup but I have seen them go for as cheap as 100 bucks with ignitor. I think the wiring mates right up to the 7m wiring harness and ditches the multipex deal.

To expand on that, I had a few issues getting my ignition to work right. From looking around at different setups, it seems that a lot of guys that are using the 2j boxes are using the lexus COP setups. I know that you have a 7M box but I think the pinouts are similar.

Justin is using a lexus COP setup and he said that it plugged right into his stock harness with stock ecu. With that being said, I think you could do the same with your AEM.

Also, isnt the frame of the 7M ignitor supposed to be grounded? There isnt a ground in the wiring diagram, so I assume that it is supposed to be grounded through the housing....

Its the housing, but I opened it up and added a grounding wire to the internal ground, ran it external, and grounded it to the intake
