I agree, the dealer is the way to go with those type of seals.

I too wonder if my New CHEAPO seals (Some brand starting with a "V") are no good. What's a good way to check the valve stem seals? I know it would smoke on startup, but are there any defenite ways of checking it?

I just bought 4 valve guide seals from Curt at Elmhorst Toyota. Part# 90913-02062. List 7.46 net 5.51 I have 24 brand new never used genuine Toyota seals for sale, still untouched in original bag. 100 bucks shipped.

Eh.. I'd search out some Viton seals. I feel they are superior to stock toyota valve seals. Possibly sealed power makes a set. Maybe it's their premium set or something. It's been a LONG time since I looked into it.
