My first question is how do I check for vacuum. What lines do I connect the vac. gauge to and do I do this while the car is running, cranking? Engine warm or cold etc. Trying to find out if I have a leak somewhere that could be causing my idle problem. Any help/ pictures of the lines to use would be great Thanks. Does it require me to use an Air compressor with the gauge I have?

well for a gauge, you usually just T into a vacuum line and check it with the motor running at idle, i think.

It will read close to 0 with a leak and probly from 14-18 inHG if its good.
