Vacuum line question

Guys,

Need help understanding where the following vacuum line (upper intake manifold vacuum tree) goes to? Does the circled vac line go to the other circled vac line?

It does. There's normally a short piece of hard pipe between the two that runs down behind the manifold but it often ends up missing.

This. There's normally a L shaped bracket that bolts to the head by the coils, it's got a tube on it for the BPV.
