So today I let my grandfather use my truck for moving his camper in the morning. Awhile back I bought an aftermerket exhaust for it with a couple of high flow cats.

And so he gets back with it and it sounds different, and he's all like "The truck sounded a little loud so I got the muffler fixed". So he shows me the reciept and he spent $600 replacing my aftermerket stuff with OEM stuff...

He's not asking me to pay for it but I'm a little bit bummed. I'm grateful that he spent $600 on my truck...but I'm also bummed that my aftermarket stuff that I spent money on is gone now...

It sucks the shop didn't point out the after market cats. He prolly went in saying it was loud and they are just like sure we can fix that. They could have came back and explained the after market cats are causing the noise and is he sure he wants to replace them.

Someone prolly went home with your old cats and they hit him with the $600 bill.

So...last week I stopped at my grandfathers house (they usually have cookouts every Tuesday that I stop by for). I drove my chevelle that day though.

So about halfway through the day my grandfather asked me if he could move my car for some reason or another so I said sure and tossed him the keys.

Anyway things are fine for a few days but I notice the brakes are a bit weird, and being that I didn't really have time to investigate I stopped at a shop on my way home from work this morning to have them check it out.

They said that someone put transmission fluid in the master cylinder and I'd need my whole braking system replaced for around $800...

So I called up my grandfather and asked him and he said "Yeah the brakes seemed way too weak so I topped it off with some trans fluid". The car does not have power brakes...
