WTF I went to the parts store, to get a set, BTW "idowhatagain" Is a great seller, thanx for the hookup! So the parts guy said its a dealer only item....first thoughtt to head was "damn its gonna be alot $$$$", So I called the dealer, they want $110.00 for the two gaskets....Is that rite or what?:icon_evil

Go to ebay..I got a complete engine gasket set for like $60 bucks. "Eristic" gaskets i believe.

heh, wouldn't trust a gasket set for 60 bucks, considering just the valve stem seals alone from toyota are like ~$140

the turbo gaskets from toyota are stainless steel and i mean nothing but it so they are expensive but thats what you have to use because the other gaskets that come in the sets have some paper on them and will fail suprasport sells the elbow gasket a little cheaper than toyota

The eristic gaskets and valve seals are 100% okay - theres nothing wrong with them. Used them in my rebuild and they're fine.

run-on sentence much? took a couple tries for it to make sense for me.

I wouldnt use anything but 100% oem replacement parts unless something better is needed. everything in mine is 100% toyota besides the ross pistons, ARP head studs and cometic HG.
