Hi i was wondering how about your supposed to go with tuning a 90 auto supra. It seems like none of the standalones do well controlling the trans? even tho there is a tcu for that. My question is there a piggyback style that retains the factory ecu, but can controll the ingnition maps and fuel maps?

ProEFI controls auto transmissions, you don't need the tranny ECU if your standalone is controlling it. Most piggybacks will control ignition/timing/fuel maps, sans the really old stuff but you're going to have to do a lot of splicing and cutting into the harness.

Mustang, OK
you can go Stock ecu and use a MAP ecu, with a Suprastick.
Or you can go full standalone and proefi 128 or something like sidewinder stated. by that point of wiring I'd just save for a Proefi..
