OK so I know which pin I need to plug the signal wire into on the AEM. I'm just not sure if i need to supply a sensor grnd/+5v reference to the speed sensor since the sensor has 3 wires coming out of it.(this is for a R-154)
If anyone has a pinout for the sensor that would be great. I tried searching and came up empty...
Thanks for your help.

You should actually be driving the VSS chanel with the pink wire from the guage cluster on the MKIII by default with the AEM, series 1 or 2. But there is much discussion going on about trying to use a abs sensor to get a less noisey signal. I'll keep you posted. I run a series 2 box myself.

O ok thanks. I'll try hooking that up tonight. I'm also running a series 2 box.
Can you point me in the direction of this discussion? I'd love to read up on it

Yes, I really want to use the rear abs sensor just not sure since it is a 3 wire how to really hook it up.
I'm sure you've done it Ian. Want to lend me some of your infinite mk3 knowledge?:biglaugh:

From memory it's just power/signal/ground, I "think" I wired mine to an 8v supply but will check with a bud tonight to be sure as it "may" have been 12v..... damn this old man memory....

DON'T use the VSS in the instrument cluster it's 99% useless being a bouncy reed switch.

Thanks a lot Ian. Would you happen to know which wire is the power/signal/ground? Does it even matter?
Appreciate the help.

Just went and checked my Trans, it's your standard Red/White/Black Power/Signal/Ground sensor and the more I think about it the more I'm sure it's a 12v sensor which is a bit freaky.

Thanks! I'll go try wiring it in tonightand let you know how it works.
I'm not sure if the AEM has a +12v reference signal so you think it'd be ok if I just use a switched power?
And probably same ground as tps/map/other sensors?
Just don't want to give the other sensors any interference.
What do you think?
