Are there any kits, or easy set ups for a wheel conversion? Was thinking about maybe seeing if a JZ timing pulley would fit on a 7m snout, then mod the lower cover. This would solve my mechanical pump drive system as well.

Stumped at the cam sync though.

Would like to get rid of the CPS to free up room with doing a gt47

Sounds like you might want to look into a Ford EDIS-6 system.
They use a 35-0 tooth wheel and the whole system is pretty much self contained in the coilpack, EDIS box and crank sensor.

looks like a good place to get wheels, definately wouldnt use the ford coil pack though.....
if the jz timing gear wont fit then i think ill route to this

Is that machined down for a press fit? Can't tell if it sits on the very top or slides on.
What are you using for a cam?

I actually just machined it directly into the back side of a stock pulley, I never finished setting it up on my 7M as the cps ended up fitting without issue with the turbo I used.
A friend of mine just put a sensor and a magnet onto the cam pulley as seen here, so the same should work for what you want.

Sweet, what turbo where you running?

Today I took some measurements and the JZ timing gear/crank trigger wheel is a a tenth (.0005") smaller then the 7m shank. Probably going to see if I can go somewhere with this and also using it to spin my mechanical Weldon pump if i buy it.

I was running a custom built comp turbo. 74MM TBB aluminum center section and a .81 ar exhaust housing, with an mx trim wheel. Here is a pic of the old setup.

Looks really good, couple things I would change to make it look better but that's me and I'm a OCD clean freak lol
What plenum is that? I just ordered a 1jz ffim of Driftmotion for 180 and cutting the runners of, making runners to bolt to a 7m flage
