Does anyone have any experience with the trd pressure plate for the 7m/1j? Im expecting about 300 at the wheels 350+ later on after some tuning and I was planning on leaving my stock clutch and pressure plate for now. I have a guy who want $50 for the trd pressure plate with 20k on it. How much stouter is it than the stock pp? I want to stick with a full face disc after my stock one goes out if that makes a difference. thanks

first off, I'd never buy a used pressure plate.

second off, a 6 puck disk isnt bad and wont really effect your day to day driving and will hold way more.

That was my first thought, normally Id only go with a new one but I started wondering for $50 how much better was the trd? Plus it has really low miles.

I ran the TRD clutch for a few years on my 7m when i had the stock turbo. It was a great clutch, the PP is a bit stiffer than stock. Similar to the ACT heavy duty PP. Its supposed to be rated for like 400-450 tq but i dont know. When I rebuilt the engine and put a bigger t4 turbo on it i put a 6puck clutch in with a ACT PP.

I wouldnt really want to use a used PP but that PP with a nice 6 puck sprung hub disk, and it should be good for 450-500 tq
